How do I place an order?

You can order online at any time. Just click on the start shopping icon at the top of the page.

If your internet access is down, just give us a ring and we will take your order over the phone. If you do phone, you may hear Sophie shouting in the background and the usual sounds of family life!

 

Is your fruit and veg organic?

No, the idea of organic fruit and veg always seems great, which is why Catherine has vainly attempted to grow more than weeds in her allotment! But we don't like the prices or the miles the organic produce quite often travels. So we supply you with fresh, and where possible, locally grown fruit and veg. We know that that isn't always possible though, so in instances where it's not local, we'll let you know the country of origin.

 

Do you charge for delivery?

We charge a small fee to help us keep the price of the fruit and veg down. This is currently 50p for each delivery.

 

Do you deliver in my area?

Just have a look at the map on our home page to see if we deliver in your area. If we don't, please register your details and we will try and squeeze a delivery in. If your work place is in our area, why not have us deliver there?

 

Do you deliver to my area more than once a week?

Just click on your area on the map and it will tell you when we deliver. Most areas we deliver to daily, which gives you the opportunity to make several orders a week, and reduce the chances of sad and squishy items lurking unloved and uneaten at the bottom of your fridge!

Please be aware that we have a minimum order value of £10.

 

Do you deliver seven days a week?

We deliver six days a week, from Monday afternoon to Saturday afternoon.

As we want to ensure that your order contains the freshest of produce, we don't deliver on a Monday morning because the markets are closed on a Sunday.

Also, Mr Robinson is a family run business and so we need the occasional day off!

 

What times do you deliver?

We deliver during the following times:
Monday - 1pm until 8 pm
Tuesday to Friday - 9.30am until 8pm
Saturday - 9.30am until 3pm

Just let us know if you would like your box delivered in the morning, afternoon or evening. If there are specific times that you would rather we didn't deliver your box to you, such as during the school run or before you get back to work, then just let us know!

 

Do I need to be in when you deliver?

No, there is no need to be in when we deliver. Just let us know where you would you would like us to leave your box when you place your order. Because we like to be environmentally friendly, we deliver in three "rounds," which means that unfortunately we are unable to give you a specific time when your box will be with you. However, we will always take notice of any delivery notes that you specify at the checkout.

 

Is there a minimum order?

We have a minimum order value of £10. This allows us to keep our costs down.

 

Can I order on the same day as I want my box?

Sorry, our order deadline is 24 hours before delivery. This allows us to ensure that your produce is as fresh as possible and carefully packed by us.

 

Some of the produce in our box were squashed? What will you do?

We try to keep the packaging to a minimum, using recycled brown paper bags and the packaging used by the producers. Very occasionally, this may result in produce being squashed. We will give you a no quibbles refund and replace the item which hasn't reached you in Mr Robinson quality.

 

Can I make my own standard box?

Yes you can. We want our fruit and veg boxes to contain what you want. It's easy to make your own box, and cuts down on food wastage (which we are keen on doing here at Mr Robinson!) Simply choose the "build your own box" option and start filling it up with all of the fruit and veg that you fancy!

Building your own box allows you to order exactly what you want, in the quantities that you want.

The contents of our standard boxes are reviewed on a daily basis and are subject to variation due to seasonality, quality and price. We cannot guarantee that the contents of the box delivered to you will be the same as that published on the day you placed your order.

 

How do I pay?

At the end of the online order process you will be asked to enter your payment details. We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Visa Delta, visa electron, MasterCard, Maestro and delta.

We cannot accept American Express and Diners club or payment by cheque.

We use a secure payment gateway to process all payments www.sagepay.com

 

What happens if I need to cancel my delivery after it has been processed?

We source your produce specifically for you, so regrettably we do have to make charge. This will be 50% of the order value, but if you cancel on the delivery due day, then we the charge will be the total order.

 

Whatever happens if you don't deliver my order?

This is extremely unlikely to happen, and will only happen in the event of delivery van breakdown, terrible traffic congestion, extreme weather conditions, industrial disputes with suppliers, natural disasters and other similar extreme circumstances. We will do our best to contact you and will not charge you for the delivery. We will aim to deliver at a suitable alternative date and time.
